As of today, I now have knitted and put in the box 18 dishcloths that will be donated to LovesManyCloths. As I am not feeling well tonite, I decided to just sit and knit, so I am working on a bandage, that will also be donated. Mindless knitting, awe yes, that is the life for me tonight.
I finished the back side of the pink jumper, started the front.
Today I had a follow-up doc appt from my bladder surgery of 6 weeks ago, everything is fine, dont' have to go back for 3 months. While sitting and waiting my turn, I started another dishcloth, worked on it the whole time I was there. Had to have the oil changed in my truck, and the tires rotated, so I worked on the dishcloth there too, and while I was sitting in the drive thru car wash, I knitted some more. By the time I got home I only had about a dozen stitches to finish before I could bind off. That one is now in the box. My favorite pattern to knit dishcloths that I don't use a pattern for is the "Grandma's Favorite". It is basically mindless knitting as well. You start off by casting on on 4 stitches, knit those four, turn, then k2, yo, knit to end, turn, and continue this until you have 5o stitches. I like to put 50 for the size. When you have 50 stitches, then k1, k2tog, yo, k2tog, knit to the end. When you have 4 stitches left, knit those four then bind them off, weave in the ends. Because I am a fairly fast knitter, I can knit one of these in about 2 hours, just sitting and watching TV, so I get alot of them done in a short time.
This morning I pampered myself, which I do from time to time. I had my nails done, and got a pedicure. Now I have what I call babybutt feet. They are as soft as a baby's butt and that is what I call them when I get them done. They will feel like this for about a week. It's my way of taking care of me. If I feel like I look good,,,, nice nails and toes, then I can expect my DH to think I look good as well. He totally supports this and so I keep my nails pretty all the time,,, cept when I break a couple like I did this past weekend.
Ok, back to the mindless knitting. Thanks to all of you who come and read this from time to time. Keeps me on my toes, so I will try to post daily. Ok Cat, it's updated....LOL

what's been going on here
Well, now it can snow...NOT REALLY. We had alot of chores to get done, and finally hubby, son and I were all feeling well enough at the same time to get them all done this weekend. We got a new barn style shed and hubby and I built a loft in the back end of it, and it now holds all of the Christmas decorations, including the new tree. He put some much needed shelving along the sides and then hung all the yard tools. Shed is done. By getting the loft made, it finally cleared out the spare bedroom closet and surrounding area, so I now have a spare bedroom that is usable as such, and all my yarns and fibers are stored nice and neatly in the closet, the dressers and in stackable cubes, both in the room and in the closet...whoo hoo I have a craft room. After getting the spare bedroom straight, we got the rest of the house straightened up and put back together. Today we finished putting up shelves in the laundry room, and now it's straight. Went thru 3 boxes of misc. stuff that had been sitting in there, and threw away what wasn't needed or wanted, and now all the shed stuff is ready to be put in the shed. It sure is nice to have it finally done. We have been in this new house almost 2 years, and you all know how it is when you dont' have anywhere to put things, so you end up just stacking it and it sorta gets forgotten. It feels really nice to finally have the house almost unpacked. Along with all of this, hubby and I got all the laundry done today as well. One of the shelves has a pole along the whole length of it, so as I take clothes out of the dryer, I can just hang them up, then just take them to the closets. This will save my back so much. I sure am glad I have the hubby I do now, he thinks of these things and then makes them happen so it helps me.
Going to Cat's tomorrow and we are going to the LYS and order a couple of patterns, so I can knit up some of the great yarns I have in my stash. Really nice to have it all organized, so I can see what I do have and decide what I am gonna knit it into.
Ok, I hear a familiar sound....that would be the recliner calling me, as I haven't knitted a single stitch all day,, and that's just wrong.
Thanks for all the nice comments you all are leaving for me. This is my first ever blog and it's nice to know that some of you are really reading it. I will try to keep it updated daily or as time permits....

Today was another rough one, trying to get over whatever bug has gotten to me. I was supposed to go to Cat's today to sit and knit, but just didn't feel up to the drive, even tho it's only 45 minutes and a nice ride. I did knit on two KAL dishcloths patterns today, doing one in off white the other in mulitcolors and can see a pattern starting on them both. I also started a red scarf for the Red Scarf project, and worked some more on the jumper I am doing in light pink baby cashmere. A lmost have the whole back done, then onto the front. Hoping I will have it finished by next weekend so I can get it sent out.
Tomorrow is a busy day. I am giving my girlfriend the sweater I knitted her, turning in some movies we rented, going to post office, then getting a hair cut and body perm. Hoping this will help me to start to feel some better. Was really hopeing that I would start this new year off better than I finished last year. Have to look at it this way, maybe if I get sick at the first of the year, I won't for the rest....one can only hope.
Well, it's late and I am off to bed, to hopefully get some more rest.
Thanks for reading.

New Year's Day
Well, I knitted 5 dishcloths over the weekend, so I printed out the cards for them, and bagged them up, along with the others I already had done. Took a pic and now they are in the bottom of the new box I bought for them to be shipped in. Gonna be shipping them out about every 3 months or so, depending on how many we( my best friend Cat) and Linda, another friend can get knitted in that time.
Next project is to finish a baby cashmere jumper for my sister who lives in Australia's new granddaughter. Of course it's pink and I can't wait to get it done so I can send it to them. Made her the cutest baby blanket and had if finished when she came to visit me this summer. Right now, even tho it's winter here, it's summer there, so she hasn't gotten to use the blanket much. So by the time they get this jumper, it will be cold enough for Bella to wear it.
Going to Cat's tomorrow for what we call...knit and jama's day. We take turns being at each other's houses, sit in our comfys and knit and drink coffee all day. I know, it's a hard life, but hey someone has to do it...lol might as well be us.
Of for now, to knit for the rest of the evening.

my first entry for my first blog
Well, tonight is New Year's Eve, and I thought I would start a blog, as I do alot of things, and like to share what is going on in my life with those who care to see. I love to knit and am currently working on dishcloths for a charity group...LovesManyClothes@yahoo.com. I just finished a sweater for a girlfriend of mine, that I started on Christmas eve and will give to her on Mon. Along with the dishcloths, I will be finishing a sweater for myself, that I started way last summer, then a cardigan for my dear hubby, then a sweater and skirt set for myself. Also, I will be knitting at least 2 hats per week for charity, to be given to my local social services dept, who then give them to their elderly clients. It's what I love to do, knit for others to enjoy. Ok, nuff for this post, but hope to post here everyday, so come and to see what is going on with me, my hubby, and my teenage son....
